Child Soldiers

Something fierce is rumbling over the horizon. It's not an inbetweenasode, OVA or a compilation film... no, the upcoming Girls und Panzer movie will be a full-length direct sequel! The trailer is set two years after the TV series and shows the Anglerfish Team surrounded by the enemy, including Chihatan Academy and their commander Kinuyo Nishi (voiced by Asami Seto). War comes home when the film opens in Japan on November 21.

Fans Sing High Praise For

Utawarerumono was quite the virtual page turner when the visual novel first came out in 2002. The fantasy world based on Ainu mythology follows the adventures of a new emperor struggling to maintain peace and was made into an anime in 2006. Now over a decade later the sequel, Utawarerumono: Itsuwari no Kamen is coming for PlayStation 3 this September followed by a two-season anime produced by White Fox in October. With School Days director Keitaro Motonaga on board with the anime, I'm expecting it to pull at my heart strings before tearing them out.

Director Masakazu Hashimoto (Tari Tari) and series composer Reiko Yoshida (Tamako Market) join studio P.A. Works for the anime adaptation of light novel series HaruChika. Stay tuned to uncover more story details ahead of the 2016 release.

The Good Shepherd

ufotable cements their position as the go-to studio for video game adaptations with the announcement of a Tales of series animation project for 2016, just in time for the 20th anniversary of the franchise. And despite the mountain of evidence in the trailer, Bandai is still being coy about which title is being adapted. Of course, with the Japanese fan reaction to Tales of Zestiria, maybe there's a reason Bandai declined to comment.
