Preview: Dimension of DRAGONBALL - Legendary Super Saiyan Broly Complete Figure by MegaHouse

-----Based on our Japanese Blog-----

This is Meshi, here to serve up another heaping helping of figure previews. Dragon Ball's been putting out the hits for over 30 years with over 20 films. Today's figure starred in three of them as the Saiyan to end all Saiyans--literally! Get pumped because here comes Broly!

Dimension of DRAGONBALL - Legendary Super Saiyan Broly Complete Figure [MegaHouse]

I've reviewed figures with big chests before but this one takes the cake. Broly's totally unreal muscles are offset by the totally real cloth used on his pants.

The only thing that stands out more than Broly's bulging slabs of beef is Toriyama-sensei's trademark style! From the balanced proportions to the sharp silhouette, every line on the figure is authentic Toriyama.

The easiest way to make a character look tough is to load them up with muscles, but it's easy to go overboard. Broly barely manages to keep it under control, which is more than I can say for his temper.

The sculpt also totally nails the super-spiky Super Saiyan hair do. If only they could invent a way for figures to generate an aura of ki energy...

Some body builders develop their lumbar region into a Christmas-tree shape but Broly blows them all away with his amazing broccoli back. Broli, broccoli... suddenly his name makes so much more sense!

A high vantage point should make your opponent appear puny and weak, but here it has the opposite effect. Try not to be too intimidated by his rippling abs because this is the perfect angle to appreciate the details on his jeweled necklace and belt. All that peacocking helps put the "bro" in Broly.

Speaking of which, bro, do you even grimace? You'd think that with a power level of 1,400,000,000 he'd obliterate his own teeth chomping down like this but I'm no doctor, I only play one on the blog.

You don't need to oil him up to bring out the fine details of his muscles, just shine the 'ol mood light on him! Though I must say I'm most impressed by his flared pants. The cloth material allows for the perfect amount of puffiness you'd expect from a Toriyama design.

Add Broly to your collection and step up your game, son!
