Chasing the Dragon

Fate/Zero dream team Gen Urobuchi and Kinoko Nasu, light novelists Izuki Kougyoku (Garden Lost) and Ryohgo Narita (Durarara!!), and illustrator Simadoriru sat down for six nights of tabletop role-playing led by Rental Magica author Makoto Sanda. You can read transcripts from their adventures in the realm of the mad dragon god on the Sai-Zen-Sen homepage, but why bother now that the anime adaptation, Chaos Dragon, is due this summer courtesy of Silver Link and director Masano Matsune (Assassination Classroom, Dangan Ronpa). If this preview is any indication I'd say they've rolled a critical hit.

Bac-Man Fever

Kenshin Himura and Soujirou Seta have fallen through a wormhole to modern day Tokyo and now they must lay down the sword to pick up the pen and work together as aspiring manga artists. Or at least that's what all the dojinshi will be about now that Bakuman is receiving a live-action movie adaptation starring Takeru Satoh as Moritaka Masahiro and Ryunosuke Kamiki as Akito Takagi, the actors who starred in the live action Rurouni Kenshin films as Kenshin and Soujirou, respectively. Director Hitoshi Ohne shows off his chops in this new trailer and proves that his moteki is far from over.

With a postcard and special souvenir included in the price of admission everyone's a winner, but those clever enough to solve King Yama's riddle get the added bonus of being guaranteed a job working for him in the afterlife. In today's job market I can't imagine a better way to invest 6500 Yen.
