Hey there, Shizu Mecha here. I've introduced my fair share of NXEDGE STYLE figures:
...and now Bandai is in their second season of offerings, kicking it off with:
The Guren S.E.I.T.E.N. Eight Elements is a slight departure from the other offerings in the series but it's certainly a welcome addition! Plus the strongest KMF's design lends itself perfectly to an SD makeover.
Despite the small size NXEDGE STYLE never disappoints on detail. In fact I think the design actually adds quite a bit to the Guren's form factor!
The Energy Wings are made with clear pink parts that add so much to the figure with creative lighting. The massive wingspan looks best when displayed on a stand like in the photo above, especially because they are poseable!
The Guren's over-scaled wings make it one of the most impressive winged robots in the NXEDGE STYLE lineup, and they're as fun to play with as they are to look at!
（・∀・）As cool as the wings are, though, it wouldn't be Guren without the Radiation Wave Unit! A ball joint in the wrist allows for this awesome palm blast pose. The entire Right Arm-Inbuilt Armor-Piercing Bombardment-Type Radiation Wave Unit has been sculpted to be as complex as the name itself!
Of course it's not all about dynamism. Use the base and stand to put Guren in elegant positions like this too.
The MVS was made with the same clear material as the Energy Wings and functions as an optional left hand part. Oh, and as a quick FYI aside, the base and stand work with all NXEDGE action figures.
Which Knightmare Frame can we expect next? I'm hoping to see Lancelot Albion myself!
Not bad for a first KMF figure, right? Pretty amazing, actually! They amplified all of the unit's best points, nailed the sculpt and painting and best of all made it so much fun to play with!
