Amusement Park Tycoon

Amagi Brilliant Park anime adaptation

Full Metal Panic author Shoji Gatoh is teaming up with director Yasuhiro Takemoto (Lucky Star, Hyouka) and Kyoto Animation for an anime adaptation of his recent light novel, Amagi Brilliant Park. It follows Seiya Kanie, a cocksure high school student who finds himself in charge of a failing amusement park that will be shut down if he can't draw in 100,000 customers in two weeks. With a deadline that close we can expect non-stop slapstick as he tries to rope his quirky employees into doing their jobs when the show starts this fall.

Pure Horse Power

Initial D racehorse

The AE86 Trueno from Initial D has drifted through time back to ancient China and melded with a race hose. Or at least that's the only explanation I have for why an AE86-themed horse appears in the medal game World of the Three Kingdoms. It could be a promotion for the Initial D reboot movie that comes out on August 23rd, but I think my theory has legs--four of them to be exact!
