Glasslip Exhibit Offers Peek Into the Future

Summer in Japan means fireworks, students on vacation and going back to the countryside to visit the grandparents--all key components to Glasslip, the upcoming original animation from P.A. Works. Akihabara GAMERS is running a mini-museum so we dropped by for a sneak peak!

The heroine, Touko is a gifted artist and daughter of glass work studio in the boonies. She and her friends spend their days lounging around the local cafe until Kakeru, a transfer student from Tokyo comes and throws everything upside-down. Kakeru claims that he hears voices from the future and they've led him here to meet Touko. With a cast of young hearts waiting to be broken, could Glasslip be the next Nagi-Asu? We'll have to wait for the July 3rd premiere, but I'm keeping the Kleenex on standby.

Touko's voice actress Seria Fukugawa and Kakeru's voice actor Ryouta Oosaka got into character by creating actual glassware. Arts and crafts will be the next trend in otaku tourism, mark my words!
