Give Your Stand Some Swagger

2PM is teaming up with JoJo's Bizarre Adventure to produce this Joestar edition of the Converse All Star. The "Ora Ora" embroidery was stitched into the Star Platinum purple fabric using Nishijin-ori, a traditional textile technique from Kyoto. 11,000 yen is a small price to pay for the cushiest Stand in the JoJo universe.

Speaking of Star Power

In fact, 11,000 yen is 4000 less than these life-size IDOLM@STER cardboard standees! Either way it's a drop in the bucket compared to what most producers have dropped for the Blu-ray box sets alone, not to mention figures and the mobile card game. What the hell, sign me up for all 13!

Tales of Polyvinyl Chloride

If you want to get your hot hands on some Tales of character goods you're gonna' need to take a gamble. But this is one lotto that pays out every time! Ichiban Kuji will be offering scale figures, rubber straps, stickers and more from early June and you can be the envy of the fan community if you snap up the items early at the Tales of Festival held this May 31st weekend. The event is just like the in-game skits, except the voice actors are there in the flesh.

A Fish Called Wakasa

Tub Girl, we're pulling the plug--now it's all about Tub Guy! Orenchi no Furo Jijou or Ore Furo for is a 4-panel gag manga where a handsome merman named Wakasa takes up residence in some dude's bathtub. Their awkward misadventures will be hitting the small screen with an anime adaptation this October. Until then, remember to wash behind your ears!

Moe is My Shepherd, Only Want Shall I Know

Psst, I'm gonna let you in on a secret: Bookworms get all the chicks. No seriously, check out Daitoshokan no Hitsujikai: A Good Librarian Like a Good Shepherd, the adult visual novel from August Soft. It's about a guy who joins the Library Club to read in peace and quiet only to end up dealing with a host of quirky heroines. If you want to join the club without actually, you know, having to read, stick around for the anime adaptation this October.

As Japanese as a California Roll

"Anime" is the word we use for animation created in Japan, right? In that case I'd be interested to hear your opinion on Anisava, a series of comedy shorts produced by TMS Entertainment (Lupin the Third, Cardfight!! Vanguard, Yowamushi Pedal) that looks and sounds like an Adult Swim show. If you dug the Space Dandy opening, then you should at least stick around for music video for Doscoi Disco by picopop group Plus-Tech Squeeze Box.

Helping Fujoshi Stay Fresh

Let the Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force submerge you in pleasure. This new line of bath salts is decorated with four flagships that have been re-imagined as dashing officers: Hyuga, the fiery "Ocean Phoenix," Kongou, the blonde "Diamond Shield," Murasame the shota "Passing Shower" and Souryuu the "Eastern Genius." Following the smashing success of KanColle, the ManColle fleet is picking up steam over the horizon.

Can't Stop Coughin'

The nice thing about anime based on light novels? You have another four seasons of material to look forward to! Chaika - The Coffin Princess and her bushy eyebrows will be back to continue the adventure this October. So much for the theory about sequels being based on DVD sales!
