This is Meshi, here to serve up another heaping helping of figure reviews. OK, the ponytail is on the left so this must be Ami. Or is it Mami pretending to be Ami? What if it's Ami pretending to be Mami pretending to be Ami? Those rascals, I give up! Let's dig in!

Brilliant Stage - THE IDOLM@STER 2: Ami Futami 1/7 Complete Figure [MegaHouse]

We'll trust the ponytail length and believe we're really looking at Ami. Her garish stage costume and dazzling eyes make you want to give her a hug or a pat on the head. Be careful though! Too much force and you're likely to break something on her fragile frame.

Camera stage left! Ryugu Komachi's Princess Melody♪ costume fits Ami like a latex glove. Ritsuko P knows how to dress 'em!

Camera stage right! They don't call these figures Brilliant Stage for nothing! Every nook and cranny of her body is sculpted and painted to the highest standards. Believe me, I checked!

Camera up-stage! The flower motif is a perfect choice for this budding blossom. Once the twins start filling out more we may find new ways to distinguish between them.

Zoom baby, zoom! The tautness in the chest tells me these twins are indeed filling out! The varying textures and finishes in her clothing and accessories are a nice touch and come through even better in person.

Cue the dimmer! See Ryugu Komachi's night set and here's how Ami would look. If TV adds 10 pounds, the stage must add 10 years!

Swap out her right arm for this gloved hand resting on her hips. Spunky!

How you produce this young idol is up to you. The only way to fail is to not try!
