Do you like ani-song, voice actresses or bishoujo illustrations? Then Cosmic Record is the record label for you! Their Ongaku Shoujo (literally, "Music Girls") project brings together upcoming talent in the otaku industry including electronic musician Taishi, artist duo QP:flapper and illustrator Matsuri Santa. And that's not counting the seiyuu!
Speaking of which, let's meet the girls! From the left we have techno singer Eri Kumagai played by Asami Seto (Chihaya Ayase in Chihayafuru). Next to her is rock n' roller Haru Titose voiced by Manami Numakura (Hibiki Ganaha in The Idolm@ster, Takao in Arpeggio of Blue Steel: Ars Nova). Finally there's the newest member, dance pop sensation Sarasa Ryuoh played by Mai Fuchigami (Miho Nishizumi in Girls und Panzer). Whatever style of music you're into the three of them have your jam.
They held their first mini-live on October 19th to promote the unit's second album, Perfect Free. Did I mention their label is run by animation company Studio Deen? Yup, the audience got a sneak peak at their anime music video but the rest of us will have to wait! That's one of the perks of being a fan in Japan.
Get a feel for their sound with a sample of their new album (sorry, Niconico Douga only) and look forward to Sarasa's debut single that goes on sale at Winter Comiket. In the mean time, head over to their homepage and listen to more of the musical odyssey that is Ongaku Shoujo!
