Meat Puppet

Ononoki Yotsugi may be a living puppet but that doesn't mean that someone is pulling her strings. All four episodes of Tsukimonogatari, the next Monogatari series story arc, will be broadcast on New Year's Eve. Check out the latest trailer for a sneak peak at the patently crazy visuals and a sample of "Border," the opening theme and first single from the new iteration of Claris. And since I'm on the topic, those Hello Kitty crossover illustrations are getting character goods!

New WUG on the Way

When Yoppi cuts her hair you know the Wake Up, Girls! mean business. The hardest working idol unit in the industry will return in 2015 with a movie that picks up where the TV series left off. Maybe they'll even animate the choreography this time!

Digimon Adventure Tri

The Digimon characters you grew up with are all grown up too! The upcoming TV series, Digimon Adventures Tri, time shifts the cast straight to high school. I'll withhold judgement on the radically different designs by Atsuya Uki (Cencoroll, Tsuritama) until I see them in action.

Parasyte anime opening

Do the modern designs of Parasyte: The Maxim freak you out more than the monsters? Niconico user Kurohara redrew the opening animation to look more in line with the original by bringing back Hitoshi Iwaaki's stiff, yet charming style. This doesn't change the fact that Migi's voice in the anime is different than the manga, but you can't have everything.

Moe Department of Homeland Security

War comes home in Miritari!, the anime adaptation of a four-panel gag manga. Kaoru Shinji jewelry

Penetrate sempai's AT field and meld into one being by presenting him with this Shinji x Kaoru-themed necklace from jewelry maker The Kiss. I finally get the meaning of the subtitle for Evangelion 3.0: You Can (Not) Redo--sorry Shinji, you're stuck with this pairing. That shipping has already sailed.

Mikagura Gakuen Kumikyoku

Only a pleb would choose their high school based on the curriculum. The most important element, of course, is the uniform. So our heroine enrolls in Mikagura Academy, the one with the cutest sailor suit, only to find herself embroiled in super-powered battles between the school clubs. That's the setup for Mikagura Gakuen Kumikyoku, the anime adaptation of a light novel based on Vocaloid tracks by composer Last Note. I can't wait to see how they incorporate the music into the story!
