News Roundup for November 17th, 2014

The Wait is Unbearable

Remember kids, director Kunihiko Ikuhara was telling stories with hyper-modern architecture, impressionistic backgrounds and foreboding choir singing long before Madoka's Akiyuki Shinbo. The new trailer for Ikuhara's Yurikuma Arashi teases at unbound mystery and beauty. The January air date can't come fast enough!

Not so "Puella" Anymore

Madoka and friends added five inches to their biceps for their Monster Hunter Frontier G debut. Sorry boys, these frilly battle skirts are for female characters only--though males can watch from the sidelines nice and snug in their Candy Witch and Kyuubey costumes.

Gather Friends to Take Down FOEs

It will be ages before we see an English localization for the 3DS remake of Etrian Odyssey II: Heroes of Lagaard, but at least we can enjoy the anime opening movie on YouTube. Dig the animation by Madhouse and theme song "Reaching Out For Our Future" by Stein;s Gate singer Kanako Itou. If you're feeling adventurous you can import the Japanese version when it's released on November 27th.

A Kuso-ge in the Literal Sense

Unko Collection

Japan's in deep doo-doo. The number of colon cancer cases is on the rise but we could save lives if more people checked their poop before flushing and talked to their doctor. Unko Gakkai is an organization that aims to remove the stigma of potty talk with Unkore, a smartphone game where you collect anthropomorphic versions of stomach bacteria. If you're serious about stool hit them up on Twitter to see how you can help.
