Koeda-chan's Tree House! Today's review goes out to all my homegirls who know what that means! Oh yeah, I'm Shizu Mecha btw.

Whassa Koeda-chan, you ask? Let me explain for all those not lucky enough to already know--Takara Tomy took aim at the girly market in the late 70s with this adorable line of mini cuties and succeeded with flying colors. Any girl from Generation X can tell you that they got at least one of the many play sets for Christmas, whether it be the tree house or Koeda-chan's Apple DE Bath Set.

After many years of strictly original characters, now beloved characters from other series are being Koedarized for a slightly older target market. Today we look at the launch set, a collaboration with Puella Magi Madoka Magica!

Koedarize Madoka Kaname

"If someone tells me that it's wrong to hope, I'll tell them they're wrong every time."

Madoka was a natural choice for the world of Koedarize. Her twintails, frills and color palette were already there. It's no surprise that she turned out this kawaii!

Each Koedarize character comes with two expressions painted on each head. With just a twist they take on a whole new feeling. I love seeing Madoka this happy!

Koedarize Mami Tomoe

"It's the first time I've been this happy while fighting."

The mature-beyond-her-years Mami is as cute as a button after being Koedarized! Even after being shrunk down this much her heart is as big as ever and it shows on her gentle face. Her hat and barrette look great too!

Mami's other face is one of surprise. Her solid pupils harken back to old school Koeda-chan.

Koedarize Sayaka Miki

"I was so stupid, so stupid."

Sayaka-chan, cheer up! Sayaka makes for another lovely Koedarization. As this is the movie version she is wearing the ff barrette. Check out that tiny soul gem printed on her tummy! Kawaii!!!!

Awwwww, don't cry sweety!

Koedarize Kyoko Sakura

"It's okay... I'll be here with you."

Kyoko's big hair and bigger attitude translate into the Koedasphere perfectly!

Her other face is just as good, giving her trademark arrogant wink!

Koedarize Homura Akemi

"I’ll definitely save you!"

Last up is HomHom. Her long flowing locks look so cute as a Koedarize! She keeps her cool stare even in this Koeda timeline.

But she comes with a smile too! It's nice to see her without a sourpuss face once in awhile. Note that her eyes also changed in shape and mood.

They only thing I have to warn against is looking at them all at once--you just may die from all the cuteness! I suggest pairing them off into teams like so. On a final note, all Koedarize parts are interchangeable, so you can swap out expressions. Have fun making your favorite combination!
